Palm Spring International Film Festival Announces 2025 Lineup – See you at the movies!

The 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival announced our 2025 lineup- including our Opening and Closing Night films and over 150 films!

Screenings kick off on January 2, 2025 with our Opening Night film, “Better Man,” directed by Michael Gracey. The Paramount Pictures biopic tells the story of British pop star Robbie Williams, portrayed as a CGI monkey.

This year’s Film Festival hosts 158 films from 71 countries, including 68 premieres and 35 of the International Feature Film Oscar submissions! The selection of films will be screened over 11 days, closing on January 12 with “The Penguin Lessons” directed by Peter Cattaneo.

This year’s programming highlights a feature on Spanish films, including a spotlight on Pedro Almodóvar, and the return of sections such as New Voices New Visions, Modern Masters, Queer Cinema, Cine Latino, True Stories, and World Cinema Now.

“Our lineup this year is truly something special. In true PSIFF fashion, it spans genres and crosses borders to bring an exciting mix of films to the Coachella Valley,” Artistic Director Lili Rodriguez said in a statement. “Over the past year, our Palm Springs International Film Festival team has carefully crafted a program that celebrates the art of storytelling, and promises an array of films– from family-friendly films, to thought-provoking and urgent works. It’s all about fostering that dynamic community of film lovers who gather here in Palm Springs each year to experience transformative stories and forge meaningful connections.”
